1. What this site is

RaceCritic publishes editorial reviews of free mobile games distributed through Google Play. Everything we publish is opinion formed by a reviewer after a recorded test run, offered for information only. It is not advice, and it is not a promise about how any game will behave on your device or how you personally will find it.

By using racecritic.com you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.

2. Advertising disclosure

The site is free to read. It is funded by advertising placements shown alongside the editorial pages and by the optional paid plans described below. Some links to Google Play listings are promotional and are marked as such where they appear.

Advertising is arranged separately from the editorial desk. Reviewers are not told which titles carry a promotion, and no studio can buy a place in the dossier, a particular tone of write-up or a higher figure on a page. Where a title is both promoted and reviewed, the promotional nature of the link is disclosed and the review stands on its own.

3. Ratings and figures

The star figure printed on each entry is the public Google Play rating for that title, recorded in Australia on the day the file was opened. It is reproduced without adjustment. Store ratings change over time, so the figure on our page may differ from what you see on Google Play today; treat it as a snapshot rather than a live feed. All other numbers on the site describe our own editorial work.

4. No affiliation

RaceCritic is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google LLC, Google Play, or any of the studios whose games appear on this site, including Dream Games, Ltd., Magic Tavern, Inc., Boombox Games LTD, King, PeopleFun and ZeptoLab. Names, logos, icons and screenshots are used to identify and discuss the games under fair dealing for the purpose of review.

5. Paid plans

What is offered

Prices are shown in Australian dollars and include GST where it applies. A paid plan buys access to additional editorial material on this site. It does not buy anything inside the games we review, and it grants no in-game item, level or advantage of any kind.

Term, renewal and cancellation

A monthly plan runs for one month and renews on the same date each month until cancelled. A yearly plan runs for twelve months and renews on its anniversary until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from the link in any dispatch or by writing to the desk. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, and nothing renews after that. Access continues until that date.

Refunds

If you cancel within 14 days of starting a plan and have not yet used the extra material, write to the desk and we will refund the full amount paid for that period. After 14 days we refund the unused whole months of a yearly plan on request. These conditions sit alongside, and do not reduce, the consumer guarantees you hold under the Australian Consumer Law.

Billing status

Card billing for the paid plans is still being activated with our payment provider. Until it is live, this site cannot take a payment: there is no checkout, no card field and no charge. Reserving a plan through the dispatch form only records your interest, and we will confirm the price and the terms with you before any first billing.

6. Using the site

7. Intellectual property

Game titles, icons, screenshots and other game art remain the property of the studios and rights holders that created them. The editorial text, the page design, the layout, the class names and the RaceCritic wordmark belong to RaceCritic. Nothing on this page transfers any right in either direction.

8. Third-party links

Links to Google Play and to other outside pages are provided for convenience. We do not control those destinations and we are not responsible for their content, their terms or the way they handle your data. Read their own notices before you install anything.

9. Disclaimer and liability

The site is provided as it stands. We take care to keep entries accurate, but we do not guarantee that every detail is current, that the site will always be available, or that it will be free of error. To the extent permitted by law, RaceCritic is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms excludes any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

10. Changes

We may revise these terms. The revised text is published on this page with a new date at the top, and it applies from the moment it appears. Where a change affects a paid plan you already hold, we will tell subscribers in the dispatch before it takes effect.

11. Applicable law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and the courts of Australia have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Questions about these terms go to editor@racecritic.com.
